Cleaning cookies before buying plane tickets or renting hotels

These days most people purchase airplane tickets and make hotel reservations online. Whether you buy from Orbitz, Travelocity, Hotwire, or any of the other major travel sites, it is always a good idea to clear your cookies before you begin your search, and again every time you begin a new search.

Some travel sites will show you the prices of the cheap flights you were looking at in your previous visit, rather than any cheap plane tickets that have come up since then. Although not all travel sites are guilty of this practice, it doesn't hurt to clean them out anyway and put the odds in your favor.
